The summer is really flying by. After the kids and Josh got through with school, we spent a few days at home and then headed out for our big summer trip. We dropped Kellen and Noelle off with Josh's parents in Lubbock, and Josh, Bonnie, and I headed to El Paso for a wedding. Josh worked with Johnny (the groom) when we lived in College Station. It was such a fun trip. I hadn't traveled without a baby in years! After we got to the hotel, we changed, and did a little photo session with our best 4-year-old.

What a great couple! This was such a fun wedding and reception. We were glad to have made the trip.

On the way back to Lubbock we stopped at Guadalupe Mountains National Park and took a look-see.

When we got back to Lubbock, Lesley and Ezra were there en route back from Austin to Blue Haven (camp in NM), so I got to see the cutest nephew ever.

Here's Noelle. She's almost 2. Can you tell?

While we were in Lubbock, we got to spend lots of time with Josh's nieces, 3 of whom have since moved to about 10 minutes from our house.

I love this picture!

After spending a few days in Lubbock, we went up to New Mexico to stay in Lesley and Chad's cabin. Their family works at Blue Haven, so they stay in a cabin at camp. It worked out so great, because we got to visit with them, but also had space to ourselves. Thanks so much, Lesley and Chad.

The kids spent lots of time searching for the perfect walking sticks.

And reading books.

After Blue Haven, we drove straight home, and that was it for traveling for the summer. We spent a few days doing some painting in the house. The kitchen got a coat of "Clary Sage" and the rest of the downstairs is "Softer Tan." Very innovative.

And, of course, there's been some hanging out at Granny's house.

We've also had some good times with friends and lots of pool time. I've been really bad about taking pictures, though. Mostly because Josh had knee surgery 2 weeks ago, and since then I've been incredibly busy taking care of him, the kids, and the house. He is on the mend, thankfully.
So that's it so far. We were hoping to fit in another trip this summer, but with the surgery that's not going to happen.
For posterity's sake, I'll say that Noelle has changed a lot in the past couple of months, mostly because she's talking now. She pretty much mimics whatever her brother and sister say. Very cute.
Thanks to anyone who still checks my blog. I've pretty much decided that doing a bigger post every few weeks is the way I'll do things from now on. I just don't enjoy sitting down to blog every detail anymore. Nor do I have the time.
