Job Update

I don't want to use specifics here for obvious reasons, but I did want to update everyone on the job search.

1. Josh has an offer in a large district (just teaching science) that is the fall back option. This job offer is pretty open-ended in terms of time frame.

2. He was offered a job (again, no coaching, just teaching) in a smaller district where he would enjoy working, but they needed an answer soon.

3. He has made the difficult decision to turn that job down, because he is still in the running for a coaching position that he really wants in another school district.

So that's the situation! We are going out on faith knowing that whatever happens there will be a reason behind it, but it is my personal prayer that Josh can keep coaching, since that's what he really wants to do right now.

Purely for my own enjoyment...

Here are pictures of Bonnie and Kellen when they were about the same age as Noelle, 8 1/2 mos. At home in College Station: October, of course:
These were taken on a trip to visit my dad. He lived in Illinois at the time. July, 2005:

Kid Pics

Since I've been pretty busy lately, the poor children have had to take pictures of each other. Here are a few of my favorites.

Miss Smiley makes this face about 100 times per day. It is SO CUTE.

I thought I'd update on our status. Since I last posted Josh and I have both had strep throat and he's been to Detroit for the Final Four. I've taken short trips to San Antonio, College Station, and Austin but I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately.

The rain yesterday produced a leak in our house. Luckily, it's not "our" house anymore, so I don't have to make a million calls. But I'm sure we will be subject to workmen in and out.

I'm trying to pack up to move in less than 6 weeks. It's a hard job. It seems like everyday I get up, fix breakfast, get everyone busy, start packing, and before I finish a box it's 11:30 and time to start fixing food again. My goal is 3 boxes per day and that is a stretch! Time flies but that's a good thing when you're home all the time with 3 little ones.

This time we have hired crews to load and unload the truck. This is the first time we haven't used Josh and his friends, so that's pretty exciting. Unless the movers don't show up.

Kellen is doing well. He really helps a lot with Noelle now that they can play together. His favorite thing to do is Wii Fit. And I must say he's good. He scores like 560 in soccer.

Bonnie is still the princess. We're working on her table manners (as in, "Don't lick the table." Things like that.)

Noelle is still not crawling (at 8.5 months), but she manages to get where she wants to go by scooting. Her favorite thing to do is find someone's shoe and chew on it. She has 6 teeth so she can pretty much eat whatever she wants. I think we'll give up the baby food in the next few weeks. She loves to play with Kellen and Bonnie.

Well, that's it for now. I'm sure posting will be few and far between in the next few weeks, unless we do something fun.
